The Action of Waves Upon Sand
As storms and winds churn the ocean, waves roll into shallow water near the shore. They pitch forward and break, spraying foam, displacing sand, stone and shells before running up onto the beach.
Here is a quieter ocean, but still the waves do gently splash onto the shore. Sand and stone at the bottom with water spraying into the air, creating lines and droplets as they move.
The ocean spray is captured forever in this vessel and is apparent when the sun is high or the vessel is lit from above.
This glass vessel was inspired by a dream of an unnamed beach that exists only in my mind, as a dreamed abstraction of reality.
