Bronze Age Vessel
This quiet and contemplative vessel appears to be lined with sheets of bronze, referencing the Bronze-age craftsmen of Ireland nearly 2000 years before Christianity came to those shores. The outside of this piece is white and translucent, suggestive of the mists that drift in from the sea. Imagine, sheets of bronze, floating on the frozen mists of time. By illuminating this vessel from above, the fires that helped forge the metal are shown in the metal itself, and projected through to the outside world.
Materials: Transparent and opalescent glasses, and pure silver sheets that were transformed through a bit of alchemy to appear bronze, but only on the inside of this vessel, on the outside they remain a silvery white.
